Children's Ministry

Our program is available for kids from birth through sixth grade. Our philosophy is that church should be a fun, loving, safe place for kids to come and learn about Jesus. We want to build the foundation for our children to believe that church is a great place to be. So, whether you are celebrating, crying, or just asking questions, God's house is the place to go.

We want our kids to have a good time while they are with us, so we make "fun" a priority. We use games, crafts, video, drama, music, story telling, and toys. If it helps us teach in a way that kids will listen and understand the bible truths being presented to them, we use it.

We want all of our kids to feel loved. In the bible Jesus tells us to, "Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another." John 13:34. A popular phrase around here is to be, "Jesus with skin on." When our children come into our ministry we want them to experience a love from our volunteers that is like Jesus' love. No child is judged based on their looks, intelligence, clothes, influence, wealth, or popularity. All children are treated the same and loved equally. This is a value we pursue with our volunteers as well as with our kids in class.

We want our kids to be safe. All of our volunteers go through a thorough screening process to ensure the safety of our children. No one is allowed access to our kids that has a background that is contradictory to working with children or has a character that is questionable. To provide extra safeguards, we have a two adult rule that allows no one person to be alone with a child. We want our children to learn about Jesus. We want all of our kids to learn about the gift that Jesus has to offer them. Jesus offers unconditional love and forgiveness to everyone. All people need a relationship with God through Jesus Christ including children. We want them to learn this truth and build a relationship with Him. We want to teach our kids the truths from the bible so that they will believe and accept Jesus as their Savior. We also want to help our kids grow in their relationship with Him by teaching them how to pray, read their bible, and serve others.
