March 9: Insight Post by Kim Feld
Monday Insight Post
by Kim Feld
For today’s post, I’m going to use the scripture in this week’s plan and some additional scriptures as a prayer to God as we continue to look at the practice of celebration, especially the celebration of God’s presence with us.
Father, I come before you this morning and celebrate Your presence in my life. You are good, and all Your ways are good. I pray that You show me how to live this day in constant connection with You, experiencing the joy of Your presence and anticipating the joy of living with You forever (Psalm 16:11)
Your word says that when I obey your commandments, I remain in Your love and am filled with the joy of obedience to You (John 15:10-11). I ask that You give me the strength and perseverance to live out Your commandments today, looking to Your Holy Spirit for guidance and direction.
There are so many things in our world that bring sadness and pain, yet I can rejoice in You and the gift of Your salvation (Habakkuk 3:17-18). You and You alone are my rock and my salvation. You are a fortress that will never be shaken, no matter what is happening around me (Psalm 62:2).
Grant me peace today, Father. You have promised to keep me in peace when I trust You and fix my thoughts on You (Isaiah 26:3). Nothing in life is more worthy of my devotion and praise than You. I choose to fix my thoughts on good things today – things that are true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, and admirable, and know that in doing that, You will guard my heart and my mind (Philippians 4:6-8). I celebrate the gift of Your presence today, Father.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
