March 9: Weekly Focus

New Hope Church   -

March – Celebration

Celebration is the practice of rejoicing in who God is and what He has done. It is not dependent on circumstances but flows from the deep joy of knowing God’s love and salvation. Through celebration, we are reminded of the victory Jesus has won, and we are invited to live each day with gratitude and hope. As Easter approaches, we celebrate the resurrection that brings life, freedom, and joy.

Week of March 9- Week 10

Reading:

¹¹You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever. Psalm 16:11 (NLT)

God’s presence is our greatest joy. True celebration flows from the life and hope we find in Him.

Reflection Questions:

  1. How do you experience joy in God’s presence?
  2. What practices help you stay aware of His presence each day?
  3. How does this verse shape your understanding of eternal life?
  4. In what ways can you celebrate God’s presence with others?
  5. How could you invite more joy into your worship and daily walk with God?

Why this matters for life today:

Life is not without challenges, but joy gives us strength to keep going. Celebration is not ignoring problems; it is remembering God’s presence in the middle of them.

Take it Deeper:

  • Remaining in Christ’s love fills us with complete joy.

10When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. 11I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow! John 15:10–11 (NLT)

  • Even in loss, we can choose to rejoice in God our Savior.

17Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, 18yet I will rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation! Habakkuk 3:17–18 (NLT)
