Walk 4 Water

May 31 10:00 am - 12:00 pm  |  New Hope Church

703 million people around the world still live without access to clean water — that’s nearly 1 in 10 people, or twice the population of the United States. In many rural communities, families must walk for hours every day to collect water — water often contaminated with animal waste and deadly diseases. This daily struggle keeps children out of school and forces parents to give up time they could spend earning a living, only to bring home water that may still make their families sick. But clean water changes everything. It opens the door to education, income, dignity, and health — especially for women and children.

We are working to raise $21,000 to build two life-saving wells — one each in the villages of Buyemba and Kisote, in Uganda — through our trusted partner, Water 4 Kids International. To date, New Hope Church has been part of providing 35 life-changing wells that provide clean water to hundreds of thousands of people in need.

On Saturday, May 31st at 10 am, we invite you to join us at New Hope Church for Walk for Water — a family-friendly, hands-on event that will open your eyes to the daily reality faced by women and children who walk miles to fetch water. You’ll have the opportunity to experience a small part of what they endure — and take action to help make sure they don’t have to anymore. Registration is $20/adult and includes an event T-shirt. Children 5 and under are free, but registration does not include a shirt.

If you can’t join us on May 31st, no worries. We kindly ask you to consider donating. Every $40 you contribute provides clean, safe water for one person for life.

Visit nhc.click/w4w online for all of the information, to register, and to donate. It is truly one of the best investments we can make. We hope you’ll make it with us. Together, we can bring clean water — and lasting hope — to those who need it most because clean water changes everything.
