If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny who he is. 2 Timothy 2:13 (NLT)
Friday Questions
How have I seen God’s faithfulness evident in my life recently, especially in moments where I may have doubted or strayed? How can I continue to trust in His unwavering faithfulness, knowing that even when I falter, God remains steadfast and true?

I’m incredibly blessed to be able to share Bible stories with our preschoolers at the Silo Center here at New Hope Church. One of my favorites to share during Kids’ Church is the story of Lazarus, as it powerfully shows why Jesus performed miracles. If He had only completed ordinary tasks, how would we know He truly is the Son of God? His miracles weren’t random; they were purposeful acts that drew both believers and nonbelievers to recognize who He is. And through the pain of Mary and Martha’s loss, we also saw a glimpse of Jesus’s deep love and faithfulness.
A few months ago, our preschool team had our own “Lazarus moment.” We found ourselves in a challenging spot, needing a staff member mid-year. We looked everywhere, called everyone we could think of, and started questioning each other and ourselves. “Why isn’t anything working?” “Who have you contacted today?” We were near panic. But what if, like Mary and Martha, we had simply run to Jesus first? What if we had paused and asked Him, “Lord, where should we look?” Even though we didn’t seek Him first, His faithfulness met us anyway. One ordinary Wednesday evening, two women were chatting after worship rehearsal, and—WHAM—our answer was right there all along. Not because of our effort, but entirely because of His faithfulness. We were able to welcome a new team member, perfectly provided by God.
Jesus continues to show us His faithfulness in big and small ways. Are we taking the time to notice it? To praise Him for it? I’m praying that each of us becomes more aware of His daily faithfulness and that we never forget to thank Him.
