February 16: Weekly Focus
February – Prayer
Prayer is more than words we say, it is an ongoing conversation with God. Through prayer we bring our joys, needs, and burdens before Him and listen for His guidance. Prayer is how we draw close to God in every circumstance, learning to depend on Him and align our hearts with His will. It is both a privilege and a practice that deepens our relationship with Him.
Week of February 16- Week 7
Reading:
¹⁶Always be joyful. ¹⁷Never stop praying. ¹⁸Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18 (NLT)
Prayer is not meant to be limited to set times; it is meant to become a continual posture of our hearts. God calls us to live in constant awareness of His presence.
Reflection Questions:
- What might it look like to “never stop praying” in your daily routine?
- How can joy and thanksgiving shape the way you pray?
- Where is God calling you to trust Him in all circumstances?
- What practices could help you stay aware of God’s presence throughout the day?
- How does constant prayer keep you connected to God’s will?
Why this matters for life today:
God invites us to live with ongoing gratitude, joy, and conversation with Him in the middle of everyday life.
Take it Deeper:
- Be joyful in hope, patient in trouble, and faithful in prayer.
12Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble and keep on praying. Romans 12:12 (NLT)
- Praying continually means to be constantly aware of God’s presence throughout your day.
16But I will call on God, and the Lord will rescue me. 17Morning, noon, and night I cry out in my distress, and the Lord hears my voice. Psalm 55:16–17 (NLT)
