March 16: Weekly Focus

March – Celebration

Celebration is the practice of rejoicing in who God is and what He has done. It is not dependent on circumstances but flows from the deep joy of knowing God’s love and salvation. Through celebration, we are reminded of the victory Jesus has won, and we are invited to live each day with gratitude and hope. As Easter approaches, we celebrate the resurrection that brings life, freedom, and joy.

Week of March 16- Week 11

Reading:

⁴Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice! ⁵Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon. Philippians 4:4–5 (NLT)

Paul calls us to rejoice in the Lord always. This joy is not based on our circumstances but on the certainty of God’s love and the hope of Christ’s return.

Reflection Questions:

  1. What does it mean to rejoice always?
  2. How does joy in the Lord differ from temporary happiness?
  3. How might celebration be a witness to others of your faith in Christ?
  4. What helps you stay focused on God’s promises in hard times?
  5. How can joy and celebration shape the way you interact with others this week?

Why this matters for life today:

Celebration shows us that restoration is worth rejoicing over. When broken things are made whole, it points us to God’s heart for redemption.

Take it Deeper:

  • Faith in Jesus brings inexpressible joy and the reward of salvation.

8You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy. 9The reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls. 1 Peter 1:8–9 (NLT)

  • With joy, we draw strength from the God of our salvation.

2See, God has come to save me. I will trust in him and not be afraid. The Lord God is my strength and my song; he has given me victory. 3With joy you will drink deeply from the fountain of salvation! Isaiah 12:2–3 (NLT)
