Go Wild

God gives us many opportunities to learn and grow into the people He wants us to become. Our creative teacher instructs and guides us in ways that speak to us spiritually, intellectually, visually and more. Throughout this series, we’ll look at how animals are used to illustrate important concepts in Scripture. Surprisingly, animals are mentioned over 125 times in the Bible. We’ll see how their character traits can inspire us to adopt specific skills and behaviors.

Week 1 Message- Slyness of the Snake

Date- June 24th & 25th, 2017

Key Verse(s)- Matthew 26:41

Speaker- Rusty Coram

One of the most important things we need to understand as we grow in our faith is that there is an enemy determined to undermine and destroy every positive step we take. Before we look at who we’d like to be, let’s be sure we are firm in our knowledge of whom we don’t want to emulate.

Living our lives for Christ is the single most important decision we can ever make. With it, we are guaranteed eternal reward. Make no mistake, however, it will not always be easy. We need to possess physical, mental and spiritual strength to do the work God has planned for us.

Week 3 Message- Wisdom of the Owl

Date- July 8th & 9th, 2017

Key Verse(s)- Proverbs 19:20

Speaker- Rusty Coram

Life could be summarized as a series of choices. Each one takes us down a path that helps shape who we are and what our lives look like. If we choose with pride, ignorance or arrogance rather than wisdom, we can find ourselves in trouble.

Week 4 Message- Diligence of the Beaver

Key Verse(s)- Colossians 3:23

Speaker- Rusty Coram

There’s an old line in show business that says, “there are no small parts, only small actors.” The same is true when it comes serving God. No act done in His name is too small, nor does it deserve anything less than our very best effort. This one thought can give new meaning to how we live our lives each day.

Key Verse(s)- Joshua 1:9

Speaker- Rusty Coram

Key Verse(s)- Matthew 6:26

Speaker- Rusty Coram

The Bible is quite clear that we aren’t meant to spend our time worrying. We can trust that God will provide for our needs. As we grow in our faith and become more like Jesus, we must also learn to trust others and be trustworthy.

Week 7 Message- Teamwork of the Ant

Date- August 5th & 6th, 2017

Key Verse(s)- Philippians 2:2

We are all uniquely created with different gifts, talents and callings. When we join together as a team, those unique attributes combine to fulfill God’s will with truth, strength and unity.

Week 8 Message- Sacrifice of the Lamb

Date-  August 12th & 13th, 2017

Key Verse(s)- 1 Peter 1:19

Speaker- Rusty Coram

The lamb is a very special animal in the Bible, because it represents the One who came to save us all. If the snake is the epitome of evil, then the lamb is everything that is selfless, loving and good. Our earthly goal should be to become more and more like Jesus. That means we need to make a priority of putting the needs of others before our own.
