Preview & Promotion Sundays
June 8 - 15
On Sunday, June 15th, children and students will move up to their next grade-level group for the 2025–26 school year.
Some children will start attending new classes. On Sunday mornings, we group by age: Kindergarten and 1st grade, 2nd and 3rd grade, and 4th and 5th grade. Students in 6th through 12th grade meet on Sunday nights in grade-specific groups.
Why promote before school starts in September?
- Because most kids already see themselves in the next grade as soon as the school year ends. Promoting now meets them where they are—and gets ahead of the summer schedule before vacations and back-to-school chaos begin.
- Because preschoolers moving to kindergarten have lots of transitions to make in the fall. Doing it now provides them security and familiarity in regards to church in the fall when the rest of their world might feel upside down.
- It’s the same with 5th graders moving into 6th grade. A June promotion lets upcoming 6th graders experience “youth group” over the summer and experience all that Takeover offers.

This casual open house is a great way for kids (and parents!) to get a sneak peek at their new space, meet some of the awesome leaders, and ease into the transition. We’ll have donut holes and good vibes—so come say hi, take a look around, and enjoy the preview!

- 4th & 5th Grade – Game Room
- 6th Grade – Room 222
