The Landing Fall Kick-Off & Open House

September 2 7:00 - 9:00 pm

8905 Ox Rd, Lorton, VA, USA

On Tuesday, September 2nd at 7 pm, The Landing will be having our Fall Kick-Off & Open House. Middle and High School students (and parents) are invited to come meet The Landing volunteers and experience what The Landing is all about and what we have planned for the upcoming school year. There will be food, prizes, fun, and a night full of HOPE!!

The Landing is a group for students in middle and high school that meets on Tuesdays from 7-9 pm (doors open at 6:45 pm) at New Hope Church. The teenage years are full of exciting opportunities, challenging situations, fluctuating emotions, and stressful circumstances. Being a student today is tough and sometimes the stress of everyday life can feel overwhelming. Things may have happened that are out of the student’s control (ex. divorce, abuse, loss, bullying). Or perhaps they are struggling with depression, anxiety, fear, or anger. In an attempt to cope, students sometimes look for comfort in unhealthy ways (ex. alcohol & drugs, food issues, isolation, self-harm, perfectionism, etc.). The Landing creates an environment where students can talk openly about what is going on in their lives, ask questions, and learn through the use of creative, interactive lessons that provide insight on how to follow God’s path in life even when things can suck.
