I'm Outta Here
How to enjoy your summer without sending your faith on vacation
Summer is here and for many of us that means vacation! No matter how old we are, the end of the school year triggers thoughts of beaches, family reunions and more. Taking a break from school, work and our routine helps us recharge our batteries. God wants you to have rest and so do we! It’s great to leave our responsibilities behind temporarily, but we can’t check out completely. It’s all about balance. Over the next two weeks, we’ll see how we can make the most out of our summer by digging our toes in the sand, without burying our heads in it.
Week 1 Message- Spiritual Staycation: The benefits of portable faith
Date- June 13th & 14th, 2015
Key Verse(s)- John 21
Speaker- Jeff Geyer
We need to keep growing in our faith. That can happen from anywhere, even with just 10 minutes a day spent reading the Bible and praying. Giving Jesus a small part of our day will bless the rest of it.
Week 2 Message- Lazy Days of Summer: The benefits of hanging in there.
Date- June 20th & 21st, 2015
Key Verse(s)- Philippians 3:13-14
Speaker- Rusty Coram
It’s easy to let weekend services slide during the summer. The truth is, God created the church because He wants us to join together to learn and grow. Summer activities give us endless opportunities to include others in what’s going on at New Hope. When we all stay connected and serve, lives are changed.
