Three

There are many occurrences in Scripture where certain numbers are repeated with great emphasis, like the number three. Nowhere is that more true than the story of Easter. The historical reality of the life and death of Jesus makes this the most significant chain of events in human history. God became human, took the consequences of our sin upon Himself by sacrificing His Son, and then backed it up with His resurrection. In this series, we will explore the facts surrounding Easter in groups of three, and discover the hope and purpose we have been offered.

Week 1 Message- Three Tests

Date- April 1st & 2nd, 2017

Key Verse(s)-

Speaker- Rusty Coram

Jesus was without sin, but he wasn’t always without temptation. After He was baptized, Jesus fasted in the desert for 40 days and nights. During that time, the devil appeared and tried to tempt Him three times. It was His faith and devotion to God that carried Him through each test. He is the perfect example of how we should react to temptation in our own lives.

Week 2 Message- Three Strikes

Date- April 8th & 9th, 2017

Key Verse(s)-

Speaker- Kim Feld

For believers, the period of time between Good Friday and Easter can bring us great sorrow. Scripture walks us through a very dark display of human arrogance, greed, rejection and grief. God’s plan is heartbreaking, but also a creatively deliberate act of love on our behalf.

Week 3 Message- Three Days

Date- April 15th & 16th, 2017

Key Verse(s)-

Speaker- Rusty Coram

Three days after the crucifixion of Jesus, some women went to properly dress and prepare His body. When they arrived, they found the tomb was empty! Jesus is alive! And even though he left the Earth, He did not abandon us. Just as Jesus promised, the Holy Spirit is here in His place to help guide us until we see HIm again in heaven.

Week 4 Message- Three Essentials

Date- April 29th & 30th, 2017

Key Verse(s)-  Psalm 23:6

Speaker- Rusty Coram

This week we’ll celebrate the 25th anniversary of New Hope Church! ‘Helping people become fully devoted followers of Christ’ has always been our mission - past, present and future. It’s important that we take a quick look in our rearview mirror, and then look forward to all that God can accomplish through us moving forward. We can’t think of a grouping of three that better defines who we are: Easter, the FMSC MobilePack and New Hope Church.
