January – Meditation
Meditation is the practice of slowing down and focusing on God’s Word and presence. It is not about emptying the mind, but about filling it with truth, listening for God’s voice, and allowing His Word to take root deep within us. This practice helps us move from simply reading Scripture to letting it shape our hearts, minds, and actions.Week of January 5- Week 1
Reading: 28Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28 (NLT) Life often weighs us down with stress, expectations, and responsibilities. Jesus offers us more than temporary relief; He invites us to bring every burden to Him. In His presence, we discover a rest that renews our soul and reminds us that we do not have to carry life’s weight alone. Reflection Questions:- What burdens are you carrying right now that you need to bring to Jesus?
- How does Jesus’ invitation to rest speak to the pressures in your life?
- What would it look like to slow down and intentionally rest in Him this week?
- How can you remind yourself daily that true rest is found in Christ?
- In what ways could accepting Jesus’ invitation change how you live and lead others?
- God promises a rest that comes from trusting in Him, not from our own work.
- True rest and hope are found only in God, who is our rock and salvation.
